Weddings in Oregon Wine Country
The beauty of the Willamette Valley will never cease. When you take the drive out of Portland into the valley, you begin to see the hills and the neatly combed lines of the grape vines peaking through those hills. And if you are making that trip before sunset, there’s a particular red hue on these hills when the golden hour light hits perfectly, lending to the name “red hills”.
The Willamette Valley area covers a span of over 5000 sq. miles. Known for its Pinot Noir grapes, Oregon has been successfully leading the Pacific Northwest wine industry and many of its winemakers continue to move it forward. With over a thousand wineries it is no wonder that the state’s wine industry is only booming.
There are many tasting rooms boasting stunning views all across the valley. And this is where I boldly say that you can plan a gorgeous wedding or an elopement in Oregon wine country.
DavidAnn is no stranger to wine country celebrations. As we sip our favorite red and write this, we think of the many beautiful wineries and vineyards that have opened their doors to the wedding industry. Every year a wedding, an elopement, a vow renewal, or an engagement takes place at a winery. We are fortunate not only to be living in the heart of Oregon wine country but to be able to visit the numerous tasting rooms and to have photographed in many of these epic locations.
